Having consistent driving lessons is crucial, so I work on a ‘weekly slot’ basis. This means my pupils get the same day and time each week. It makes life much easier and gives you peace of mind in knowing that you’re going to have consistency.

I work on a weekly slot basis, so everyone has the same day and time each week. This makes life easier and ensures you can rely on regular weekly lessons.
During the lessons we will work through a syllabus, covering all the skills you need in order to drive to test standard. We track your progress as we’re going along using a progress sheet so you know how you’re doing at any given time.
It’s impossible to know for sure. Everyone learns at different rates. But the average person takes approx. 45 hours of driving lessons and around 20 hours of private practise to pass the current UK manual driving test.
I don’t work at weekends. But I do offer evening lessons during the week (usually 4-6pm and 6.30-8.30pm).

A 2020 manual VW Golf Life. I’ve had a Golf since I qualified as an instructor and find its a forgiving and easy car to learn in. Fitted with many safety features and technology, it will give you peace of mind that you are learning in a market leading vehicle.
You need to be 17 and have your provisional driving license.
You also need to make sure you can read a car license plate from 20m away. If you can’t, you need to get your eyes tested and buy glasses before starting your lessons.
No, you don’t need to have passed your Theory Test before starting lessons. However, you can’t book a practical driving test until you’ve passed your Theory Test. So I always recommend getting your Theory done as soon as possible. Plus, it does help with your practical driving because you’ll have better knowledge of signs, road markings etc.
Please note: Theory Tests are valid for 2 years, after which you’d need to re-take the test if you don’t pass your practical driving test before that time.
Don’t worry, you’re not alone. People have different levels of anxiety when it comes to getting in the vehicle for the first time. Rest assured, I will work at your pace and accomodate you when you need any breaks. I’ll always try to adapt lessons to suit your learning style and value your feedback in how I can make things better for you.
Yes of course, as long as it’s in the area I cover and I know in advance.
No I don’t offer intensive courses.
Yes, I do. If I don’t have availability I will give you the option of being added to my waiting list.
I always offer free slots to my waiting list first, so I strongly advise being put on the waiting list as early as possible to avoid longer waits for lessons. This is especially important for lessons after 4pm - there can sometimes be a 5-6 month wait for these slots.
